Key Art QC Guidelines

Although the initial Key Art QC is completed during trafficking, it must be validated against the video to ensure the following:

  • The correct art has been supplied for the video asset
  • For example, Moana (live action) art has been supplied for Moana (animated) video.
  • The art has been localised correctly (NOTE: localised art is not mandatory but preferred)
  • For example, the burnt in localised title is "Treini e delitti" but the art has been localised with "l primo assassino dela ferrovia"
  • White Title Treatments are solid white with no aliasing/artifacts
  • This cannot be confirmed without previewing the White TT on a white background

Pluto require EIGHT pieces of Key Art:

They will accept a minimum of FOUR:

  • Vertical Poster
  • Horizontal Poster
  • Square
  • Horizontal Feature

Artwork should represent the Film/Series and, for those pieces that require it, must contain title treatment. Besides the title/logo, art must not contain any further graphical elements such as: credits; press quotes; loglines etc.

Exceptions to this will be noted in Content Considerations.

There is a preference, although not a rule, the Horizontal Feature and Backdrop pieces should be a grab from the Series/Film.

Vertical Featured pieces MUST have the focal point in the top third of the image; there is the cage function enabled to ensure this.

This example is a QC Fail as the focal point is below the cage.

White Title Treatments must be previewed on the white background to ensure they are solid white.

The TT should be invisible when previewed on the white background.

Any aliasing/artifacts will be a QC Fail.

NENT assets will always have the minimum set of FOUR pieces and will have a Viaplay bug present on Horizontal Poster, Vertical Poster and Square.

Once Key Art has been QC'd, status can be updated to Passed/QC Fail and any relevant comments added. Ensure the check is clicked once updated otherwise it will not update for delivery.

There may be some instances where there is already active status and comments. This is usually due to something flagged during trafficking stage. Key Art QC can be ignored at this stage, as not all mandatory pieces are present.

Key Art must have a status of Passed otherwise delivery will be blocked. For assets that complete QC and BP before art arrives, there is an AT view available to allow quick QC of the art.
