Sight Tests Policy

Many FooEngine roles involve prolonged use of digital screen equipment. Regular eye testing is important for employee health, comfort, and productivity. FooEngine therefore covers the cost of eyesight tests.

Sight Tests

FooEngine will reimburse the full cost of an eyesight test carried out by a qualified optometrist.

  • Tests may be claimed at the frequency recommended by your optometrist.
  • In most cases this will be every two years, unless a shorter interval is medically advised.

Glasses and Lenses

FooEngine does not contribute towards the cost of:

  • Prescription glasses
  • Contact lenses
  • Sunglasses or non-prescription eyewear

Any eyewear costs remain the responsibility of the employee.

Claiming the Cost

  • Claims must be submitted through Dext, in line with the Expenses Policy.
  • An itemised receipt must be provided.
  • The claim should be categorised as Work Equipment / Sight Test.
