Copyright and Intellectual Property Policy¶
Your employment contract or freelance agreement sets out the legal terms that apply to any intellectual property you create while working at FooEngine. These terms can vary depending on your role and where you are employed or contracting from, so you should refer to your own contract for the exact details that apply to you.
All team members are required to agree to these terms before starting work with FooEngine.
As a general rule, FooEngine owns the intellectual property created in the course of your work. Where work is created on behalf of a client, ownership may transfer to that client under the terms of our agreement with them.
Because of this, you should be aware that you can't automatically retain or reuse work you've created, even if you were directly responsible for it. In many cases, our client agreements allow reuse or reference, but there are exceptions.
If you're ever unsure whether you can reuse, share, or retain a copy of something you've worked on, check with your manager before doing so.
